What we cut into a railing

No saw, no layout, no drill press.

Every feature is cut where the drawing puts it while the tube turns in the chuck, so each section fits square on the weld table.

Picket hole rows

Every hole in a top or bottom rail placed from the drawing, in one pass. No layout, no drill press.

Stair-angle holes

Raked holes and slots cut at the stair's angle, so pickets drop in plumb on a stair run.

Copes for round rails

Fish-mouth ends that saddle onto a round post or handrail, so joints fit tight with no grinding.

Miters + returns

Clean corner and end-return cuts for level runs, landings and wall returns.

Tab + slot sections

Posts and rails that lock together on the weld table: square, self-jigging and fast to tack.

Long runs, fewer splices

Rails up to 9 m in one piece, so long corridors and platforms need fewer joints.

Good to know

Railing questions.

Do you install railings?

No. We cut, weld and arrange finishing; your installer or our customer's crew puts them up. That keeps us focused on making accurate parts fast.

Will the railings meet the BC Building Code?

We build exactly to the approved drawings you send. Guard and handrail design, heights, loads and sign-off stay with your designer, engineer or railing supplier.

Do you do house and deck railings?

We work with contractors, fabricators and railing companies rather than homeowners. If you're a homeowner, your railing company is welcome to send us their drawings.

Which materials and sizes can you cut?

Mild steel, stainless, aluminum and galvanized; round, square and rectangular tube, pipe, angle, channel and flat bar, from 12 to 240 mm across and up to 9 m long.

Do you powder coat?

Powder coat and other finishes are done by our partner shops. We arrange it, check the parts when they come back and deliver the finished railings.

When can you start?

The tube laser arrives in our Richmond shop in early 2027. We're booking first-run railing jobs now: send drawings and we'll schedule you in.
